New websites can take much longer to get ranked than existing websites. It may take 6-12 months before a site starts to show significant ranking improvements.

Do you have a Google Account for Google Analytics? This is a free statistics package from Google that we highly recommend. If not, we recommend signing up (free) and providing Designer Websites with access so we can configure the statistics for your website. Click here to setup your analytics.

Do you have any other alternative domain names for your website (eg www.domain.co.nz and www.domain.com)? Additional domain names can cause issues if not configured properly.

What is different about your company / website? Does it have a unique selling proposition? Is there a good reason why a random visitor would choose you over your competition? Please explain.


Who are the leaders in your industry? Can you list some competitors who you feel are doing well? (feel free to list yourself here).


What phrases would you like the website to rank for? Please detail phrases rather than keywords - eg 'Auckland nutrition consultant' or 'nutrition programme' rather than simply 'nutrition'. Please list as many phrases as you feel are appropriate. This list will form a starting point for our research.


SEO requires changes to be made to page content - most visibly headings and the first paragraph of body text on each page. How much license are we allowed in regards to changing this content? If you are very particular about how this content reads, we will keep the SEO changes to a minimum, but keep in mind this may mean we can't achieve the same ranking results.
